The practice does not tolerate abusive behaviour against any member of staff.  This includes comments made on social media ie. Facebook, Twitter etc. 

 From 1 April 2013 Repeat and Acute Re-issue prescriptions will be ready for collection 48 working hours after order is received.

 PLEASE  NOTIFY RECEPTION OF ANY CHANGES OF ADDRESS OR OTHER DETAILS.

 It is also important that you notify the hospital of any changes in your details.  If you have changed your address or name, or phone number or your GP please phone Altnagelvin Hospital on 02871 345171 extension 3446 or 3447 so that your appointment etc is sent to the correct address

Cancelling your Appointment

If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please cancel your appointment. You can telephone or use the cancel appointment facility on our website.

By giving us as much notice as you can you are helping us to make sure that someone else is given your slot.

Repeat Prescriptions

There are several ways to order repeat prescriptions:

(Repeat prescriptions are items of medication which a doctor or hospital specialist has approved for regular issue, and will be required to be taken by the patient until the doctor or hospital specialist stops the medication).

(Acute re-issues are items of medication which the doctor or hospital specialist feels should be reviewed before every issue)

(From 1 September 2022) - Orders for all 'repeat' prescriptions or 'acute re-issues' will be ready delivered to your nominated pharmacy 72 working hours after the order is received.

greenpills1.  Repeat prescriptions can be obtained by telephoning the repeat prescription line -7776 9582 - between 9.00am and 11am (weekdays Monday—Friday).

2.  You may prefer to leave a list of your repeat prescription order in the box at the reception desk.

3.  Online ordering is also possible. Follow the link on this page to the secure form and carry out the simple one-off registration.

4.  All prescriptions will now be sent to your nominated chemist. Please ensure that you have informed our reception staff of which chemist you have chosen to nominate.

The practice liaise with pharmacists in the repeat dispensing scheme, and minor ailments scheme. For details please ask at reception.
